Sun Fire Servers

The Sun Fire range of servers comprise of a range of 1 - 8 processor UltraSPARC based rack mountable systems. The processors used vary from 500Mhz UltraSPARC IIi, through to the latest 1.8Ghz UltraSPARC IV+. Below is a list (not exhaustive) of the systems available in the Fire range.

V100 - 1U, single processor IDE based system, comprising a 500, 550 or 650Mhz CPU, up to 2Gb mem, 1 or 2 off IDE disks typically 40 or 80Gb and CD.

V120 - 1U, single processor SCSI based system, comprising a 550 or 650Mhz CPU, up to 2Gb mem, 1 or 2 off SCSI disks typically 18 to 73Gb, PCI slot and optional CD.

V210 - 1U, single or dual processor SCSI based system, comprising 1 or 2 1.0, 1.34Ghz CPU, up to 8Gb mem, 1 or 2 off SCSI disks typically 36 to 146Gb, PCI slot and optional DVD.

V240 - 2U, single or dual processor SCSI based system, comprising 1 or 2 1.0, 1.28, 1.34, 1.5Ghz CPU, up to 8Gb mem, 1 to 4 off SCSI disks typically 36 to 146Gb, PCI slots and optional DVD.
